Show-day Run SheetEasyStagecraft Module 2 · evening + matinee variants · the only doc the SM works from on show day · minute-by-minute
How to use. The run sheet is the SM's bible from arrival to bump-out for one show. One copy at calling position, one at SR prompt, one at FOH. Print fresh per performance — actuals get marked up in pen, then transferred to next-show notes. Worked example below is for a Friday evening curtain of Les Misérables ; blank variants for matinee + evening follow.
Pre-show — worked example (evening curtain 19:30)

Matinee variant — key differences from evening
Cast call earlier (typically 10:00 for 14:00 curtain) — younger cast + school-day fatigue not yet present, but parents need 1hr lead-time for drop-off
House open at 13:30, not 19:15 — primary-school audience may arrive 40 min early
Mic packs swap mid-day if same cast plays both shows — bring spare batteries + 30-min recharge buffer
Bump-down compressed — turn around in 4 hours for 19:30 evening curtain
FOH staff different (parents not students for school-day matinee — WWCC check)
The golden rule · The run sheet is the SM's tool. If the director / PM / HOD wants to know "what's happening at 19:28", they read the sheet on the wall — they don't ask the SM. Time spent answering the question is time stolen from the cue.
