Tomorrow's Call — daily notice templateEasyStagecraft Module 2 · published by the SM end-of-day · same format every day · the cure for "did I miss an email?" anxiety
How to use. The SM publishes this every production day at 17:00-17:15 — bump-in days, tech week, dress, performance run. Same format every day. Posted to: the SM's call channel (WhatsApp / Teams / Discord — pick one and stick to it), printed on the stage door, emailed to parents of any student called before 16:00 the next day. The worked example below is for Day 3 of tech week — the most chaotic time, where the format earns its keep.

Changes since today's call
NEW hazard added: the costume iron in dressing room 2 has been pulled out of service — last tag dated Mar 2025 (out of cycle). Replacement iron in dressing room 1 is in-tag. Iron only in DR1 until further notice.
Cast change: J. Patel still off with flu — understudy A. Singh continues in role. Costume already fitted; mic pack #3 reallocated.
Schedule shift: Q78 revolve cue had a slow-spotter last night — we'll run Q78 three times during tech tomorrow to lock the spotter sequence. Crew called for that block: 6 not 4.
Dinner change: we WILL provide dinner tomorrow (pizza pickup confirmed) — saves 15 min vs BYO chaos. Vegetarian + GF options counted from tonight's hand-up.
Confirmations required by 21:00 tonight:
Cast: thumbs-up emoji on the company Discord #cast channel acknowledging the dinner change.
Crew HODs: 1-line "set/lx/snd called as posted" reply by 21:00 — if no reply, SM phones at 21:15.
Parent volunteers: confirmation of WWCC + pickup roster via email reply.
Today's notes (what we'll fix tomorrow)
LX: Q41 fade was 4 sec — director wants 8 sec. Pre-show fix.
SND: Mic 12 popped during "Bring Him Home" — checking pack + capsule. Spare allocated as Mic 12 from tomorrow.
Set: barricade left-rail loose after Q78 — Crew + Set HOD tighten 15:00 (added to call).
SM: two cues called 2 sec late in Act 2 — running cue book on second monitor tomorrow as test.

Why this format works
Same headings every day. Cast + crew know where to look. No-one reads the whole notice — they scan to "what time am I called?" and trust the rest.
"Changes since today's call" is the most-read section. If you only have 5 seconds, you read this.
Confirmations required by [time] means the SM knows by bedtime who hasn't seen the notice. Chase at one specific time, not all evening.
Today's notes closes the loop on yesterday — students see their feedback going somewhere visible, which builds buy-in for the next day's calls.
