#4 · Week −4 · Ticket on-sale push (email)
Tickets now live — Les Misérables · 14-18 October
Hi families,
Tickets for our Year-12 production of Les Misérables are now live. Five performances, A$25 adult / A$18 concession / A$75 family pass.
Book now:[TryBooking link]
Quick tips:
• Family pass = 2 adults + 2 concessions for A$75 — saves $11 over individual tickets.
• Opening night sells fastest; Saturday matinee is the family-friendly option (younger siblings welcome).
• Tickets are unallocated GA seating — first in best in.
• Programmes (A$5) + bar + merchandise will be available at every performance.
A note on streaming: this production is NOT licensed for streaming. Please do not record performances. We are filming an archival copy for cast families to access privately — details after closing.
If you have ticket trouble or need to discuss alternative arrangements, email me directly: [PM email].
Best,
[PM name]
PS — please forward this to family + friends — every seat helps the production break even.
#5 · Week −2 · Tech week + dress info (email)
Tech week + dress rehearsal arrangements — Les Misérables
Hi cast + crew families,
We move into tech week from Monday [date]. A few logistics:
Cast call times (see attached PDF for the full schedule):
• Mon-Thu: 16:30 cast call / 17:00 tech start / 18:30 dinner break / 19:00-21:00 tech / 21:00 cast released
• Fri (dress 1) + Sat (dress 2): 16:00 call / 17:00 dress run / 19:00 break / 19:30-22:00 full dress
Dinner: school is providing pizza Monday + Wednesday (vegetarian + GF available — counted from tonight's hand-up). Tue + Thu: BYO from home.
Late-night pick-up: Year-9/10 cast released by 20:30 with confirmed parent SMS; Year-11/12 finish 21:00. If you cannot collect, please reply by Friday 5pm so we can arrange supervised transport.
Image release: if your form is still outstanding, your child will not appear in any released media (social, marketing, archival). Please return by Wednesday [date].
Dress rehearsal photo call: Saturday [date], 15:00 — invited family + friends welcome (free). The official archival recording is the Saturday evening show.
Any logistical questions, please email rather than SMS — easier to keep track of.

#7 · Week 0 · Show-day SMS
Les Mis tonight! House opens 19:00, curtain 19:30 sharp. Tickets at door if needed (A$25 / A$18). Programmes A$5, bar + merch at interval. School theatre, free parking on Stanley St oval. See you there! — St Joseph's Drama
Send at 14:00 on each performance day to all ticket holders + cast/crew families. Keep it short — SMS is for the dash to the venue, not detail.
#8 · Week +1 · Thank-you + photos (email)
Thank you — Les Mis · what a season
Cast, crew, families, volunteers —
Wow. Five sold-out performances. 1,037 seats filled (more than we forecast). Standing ovation Saturday night. A run-through with one of the strongest school casts [Director name] and I have ever worked with.
You'll find attached a selection of approved photos from the dress rehearsal photo call — feel free to share these (with credit to [photographer name]). The archival video of Saturday evening's full performance will be made available privately to cast families in 4-6 weeks once we've checked image-release status on every shot.
A few specific thank-yous:
• Our SM, [SM name], who ran a sold-out season with the precision of a working professional.
• Our parent volunteer team — costume, FOH, bar, transport — without whom none of this works.
• Our local sponsors — [major sponsor] + [show sponsor] + [patron] — whose contributions kept us solvent.
• Every parent who handled a late pick-up, a tech-week meltdown, or a costume mend at 21:30.
We'll send a short feedback form in a few days — your input shapes 2027's production. Until then, breathe. Sleep. Eat something that isn't pizza.

#9 · Week +2 · Newsletter post-mortem highlights
School newsletter section — Les Mis 2026 wrap
Five sold performances. 1,037 audience members. A reviewer-grade-A Year-12 cast led by [Lead actor names]. A surplus that will roll into 2027's production budget.
Our 2026 musical was a community effort: 32 cast, 18 crew, 14 musicians, 3 parent volunteers per night, 12 contributing local sponsors. The school is proud of every one of them.
A particular note of thanks to our 2026 production sponsors: [major sponsor name] for the opening-night dinner sponsorship, [show sponsor] for the back-cover patronage, and our 12 program advertisers. Their support is what made the production financially sustainable, and we'd encourage families to support them in return.
Save the date for 2027: [show title TBA] — auditions open week 2 of Term 1, 2027. Stay tuned via the school newsletter and the production email list.
